Fragrant garlic croutons from bread in a pan with a crispy crust and tender crumb will leave no one indifferent. They are included in the composition of salad ingredients (Caesar, salad with canned beans), and are a great addition to various pureed soups. The croutons are also delicious on their own. For making croutons, it is advisable to take a loaf of 'yesterday's' baking, as it is better sliced and cooks faster.
First, slice the loaf into slices, and then chop it into small cubes.
½ pcs loaf
Peel the garlic and cut into thin slices, slightly press with the side of the knife to release the juice.
4 cloves garlic
Put the garlic in the heated pan with oil, stirring slightly, and heat it for 1 minute over medium heat.
4 tbsp vegetable oil
Then add the bread cubes to the pan.
Stirring constantly, cook, reducing the heat to low.
If the garlic slices have browned too much, they can be removed. Place the finished croutons on a dish or in a spacious bowl and cover with a lid. Serve with soups, salads, and as a standalone dish or snack.
