Prepare everything necessary. It is better to choose granular and dry cottage cheese, pasty will not work here, as you will have to use a lot of flour, which will affect the taste of the dumplings. Take a small egg, you can use only the yolk of a large one.
Put the cottage cheese in a bowl, break the egg, add sugar. Even if you like it sweeter, it is better to offer a sweeter sauce to the already prepared dessert, and you should not add extra sugar to the dough.
300 g cottage cheese, 1 pc egg, 1 tbsp sugar
Mash with a fork, breaking up large lumps of cottage cheese. Add 2 heaping tablespoons of flour, the rest will be needed when molding the dumplings.
3 tbsp flour
Mix. The dough will be very sticky, but add flour only if it cannot be collected and the mass does not stick together.
Generously sprinkle the work surface with flour, roll small balls the size of a quail egg. Press down with a fork. You will get round blanks with small grooves on the surface. In this form, they can also be frozen.
Drop into boiling water.
Cook over medium heat. As soon as the lazy dumplings begin to float to the surface, immediately remove them with a slotted spoon. It is important not to miss the moment of surfacing, otherwise the dumplings can be overcooked and fall apart.
Serve deliciously with sour cream, berries. As a sauce, you can also offer jam, honey, condensed milk, various toppings.
