Prepare all the necessary ingredients.
In a bowl, mix all the dry ingredients. The amount may vary depending on the size of the baking dish. The main thing is to combine flour, sugar, and semolina in equal proportions. Add baking powder and a pinch of salt. Brown sugar can be replaced with regular sugar, but in this case, it will be harder to achieve a caramel taste of the dough and a crispy crust on top.
1.5 cup flour, 1.5 cup semolina, 1.5 cup sugar, ¼ tsp salt, 10 g baking powder
Line the bottom of a removable baking dish with parchment paper.
Grate half (80 g) of the butter on a coarse grater onto the lined bottom. To make it easier, it is better to freeze the butter beforehand. Spread the shavings evenly over the entire surface.
160 g butter
Sprinkle half of the dry mixture over the layer of butter.
On top of the mixture, place 150 g of any favorite berries, such as cranberries. You can also use fruits (plums, pears, peaches, apricots, apples), but you will need to slice or grate them.
300 g cranberries
Sprinkle the remaining part of the mixture over the berries. Then form the top layer by grating another 80 g of butter. Place the pie in an oven preheated to 180 ˚C for 1 hour.
160 g butter
Sprinkle the finished pie with powdered sugar and garnish with fresh berries. Enjoy your meal!
1 tbsp powdered sugar
