The "teriyaki" sauce is often used for cooking chicken dishes, noodles, rice, as well as for marinating meat and fish. The process of homemade teriyaki sauce recipe preparation is very quick and easy. Today we share the recipe for this wonderful sauce in a slightly adapted version. We will replace some ingredients with more accessible products, but the result will be at the same level.
Pour water and soy sauce into a small saucepan or skillet.
100 ml soy sauce, 70 ml water
Add sugar, honey, and vinegar. Stir well with a whisk.
40 g sugar, 1 teaspoon honey, 1 tablespoon wine vinegar
Peel the garlic cloves and then chop them. You can cut it into small slices or pass it through a press. Cut fresh or marinated ginger into small slices as well. Add garlic, ginger, and cornstarch to the saucepan with the other ingredients.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Then simmer the sauce for 2-3 minutes.
Strain the teriyaki sauce immediately after cooking.
As the teriyaki sauce cools, it will thicken. You can transfer the sauce to a tightly closed container and store it in the refrigerator for about 2 weeks. Enjoy your meal!
