The shrimp louie salad has a fresh and bright taste, allowing the dish to serve not only as an excellent appetizer but also as a side dish to any meat. It consists of just a few simple ingredients. However, the uniqueness of the salad is given by the signature Louie dressing, which is a mix of mayonnaise and chili sauce, complemented by the flavors of lime (or lemon) juice, Dijon mustard, and/or ketchup. Moreover, the spiciness of the dressing can be adjusted to taste, experimenting with different variations and amounts of chili sauce.
Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and be sure to taste the dressing. If you want more spiciness and piquancy, add chili sauce, as well as salt and ground black pepper. If the dressing is too thick, it is permissible to add a little cold boiled water.
Preparing the salad
Prepare the main ingredients for the salad. Wash the cucumber and slice it into rounds.
200 g lettuce, 1 pc cucumber

Hard-boiled eggs need to be peeled and cut across into rounds 5-7 mm thick.

Assemble the salad. In portioned bowls, make a "pillow" of salad leaves.
On the salad leaves, lay out rows of vegetable and egg slices.
On top of the rows of vegetables and egg, lay out the boiled shrimp. If desired, they can be quickly fried in butter beforehand.
