Prepare everything you need. Take the puff pastry out of the freezer an hour in advance, it should have time to thaw.
For the filling, cut the plums into arbitrary pieces, but not too large. Do not chop them too finely either, so that the fruits do not release too much juice. Chop the peanuts with a knife. If desired, use other types of nuts or their combinations.
10-15 pcs plums, 1 cup peanuts
Add sugar, ground cinnamon, and breadcrumbs, which will absorb excess liquid. Mix well.
1 tbsp breadcrumbs, 1 tbsp sugar, ¼ tsp cinnamon
Roll out the puff pastry into a thin rectangle or square. Spread the filling, leaving a few centimeters free from the edges.
250 g puff pastry
Make one fold, tuck the edges to securely hide the plums inside.
Roll it up, transfer to a baking sheet. Make a few cuts with a knife to allow steam to escape. Sprinkle with peanuts on top.
Bake in the oven at 160 ℃ for 30 minutes until golden brown. Plum strudel can be served immediately or after cooling. In the first case, it is very tasty to serve it with ice cream.
