  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 20 g butter

  • Pour in warm milk and vegetable oil, mix.

  • Add flour.

  • Knead the dough for a long time, at least 10 minutes, if necessary, greasing your hands with vegetable oil. Do not introduce extra flour, and after a couple of minutes of intensive work, it will be noticeable that the mass has become more elastic and no longer sticks to the hands and surface.

  • Cover with plastic wrap and leave to rise for 30-40 minutes. For the filling, mash the Adyghe cheese with a fork, grate the hard cheese. Add chopped green onions and minced garlic.

  • Mix.

  • Divide the dough into two parts, this amount will make two pies. Stretch by hand into a circle half a centimeter thick. Place half of the filling in the center.

  • Lift the edges upwards and pinch tightly.

  • Flatten with your palms, forming a thin flatbread with a diameter of 23-26 centimeters. Try to ensure that the dough does not break, so act carefully. Make a hole in the center for the steam to escape.

  • Place in an oven preheated to 170 degrees Celsius and bake at this temperature for 15-20 minutes. The surface will brown, and the Ossetian pie will rise slightly. While still hot, brush the pie with butter. Enjoy your meal!
