Prepare everything you need. Clean the pike from the scales and insides, cut off the head, tail and fins.
400 g pike
Cut the fish into portions 2.5-3 centimeters thick. In a bowl of suitable size, put sour cream, salt, pepper, chopped garlic. Pour in the water, mix. If the sour cream is liquid, you can take less water.
150 g sour cream, 1 clove garlic, ¼ tsp salt, 1 pinch pepper, 1 cup water
Cut the onion into half rings and fry in vegetable oil until soft. Since the dish is tender, do not brown the onion too much. Remove from the pan.
1 pc yellow onion, 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Add more oil and put the pieces of pike. Fry on medium heat for two minutes, then turn over.
2 tbsp vegetable oil, 400 g pike
Spread the onion on top.
Pour sour cream sauce.
Cover with a lid, set the heat to a minimum, and simmer at a low boil for 20 minutes. The meat should be well behind the bones. Pike stewed in sour cream in a frying pan is ready. Boiled rice or potatoes are suitable as a side dish.
