Today we share a simple recipe for crispy and incredibly fragrant chocolate banana puffs. When guests are already on the doorstep, and there is nothing for tea, this baking will be a real lifesaver. Both kids and adults will definitely like these pastries!
Take the puff pastry out of the freezer and leave it to thaw on the kitchen table. On average, this will take about 30 minutes. Then roll out the dough into a rectangle. We recommend doing this not too thinly and only in one direction — lengthwise or widthwise. Then divide the rectangle of dough into 6 equal parts.
250 g puff pastry
Slice the bananas into circles.
1 pc banana
Chop the chocolate with a knife into small pieces. Any type will do for making the pastries: dark, white, milk, with nuts, etc.
50 g chocolate
Make a small incision on each rectangle of dough to mark the center. Sprinkle a little sugar on the right side.
2 tsp sugar
Place the chocolate on top.
And the banana slices.
Make cuts on the left side, not reaching the end.
Cover the filling with the second half of the dough, pinch the edges tightly and go over the edge with a fork. Then transfer the pastries to a baking sheet with parchment. Brush them with egg yolk and sprinkle sugar on top.
1 pc egg yolk
Bake the pastries in an oven preheated to 180 °C for 13—15 minutes.
Serve the dessert warm. If desired, garnish with a small amount of powdered sugar. Bon appétit!
