Prepare the ingredients.
Cut the meat into small pieces.
600 g chicken fillet
Add paprika, ginger, and starch to the fillet. The starch will form a protective film around the pieces of meat and help keep the chicken juicy.
1.5 tbsp paprika, 1 tsp ginger, 2 tbsp cornstarch
Mix the meat with the added spices and starch.
Fry the fillet in oil for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
4 tbsp vegetable oil
Cut the vegetables: bell pepper into large pieces, carrot into strips, and onion into small cubes.
300 g bell pepper, 120 g carrot, 100 g onion
Add onion and carrot to the pan with the chicken. Fry for 5 minutes.
Add the pieces of bell pepper, salt them. Fry for 5 minutes.
Add tomato paste, honey, mustard, apple vinegar, soy sauce, minced garlic.
2 tbsp tomato paste, 4 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp vinegar, 1 tbsp honey, 4 clove garlic, 1 tsp mustard, ¼ tbsp salt
Stew the chicken with vegetables in sweet and sour sauce for another 10-15 minutes.
The dish is ready. If desired, it can be sprinkled with sesame seeds or herbs, and served. A great side dish would be rice, baked potatoes, a salad of fresh cabbage, or any vegetables.
