Prepare the necessary ingredients.
Peel and slice the potatoes into slices about 0.7-1 cm thick.
350 g potatoes
Pour water over the sliced potatoes, add salt, and cook until partially cooked.
Peel the apples and slice them into rings or half rings, removing the core beforehand. The slicing method depends on the size of the fruits.
1-2 pcs apple
Melt the butter in a frying pan and fry the apple slices on it for 1-2 minutes on each side.
30 g butter
Fry the bacon on both sides without allowing it to become crispy. Then cool each strip slightly and cut it into three pieces crosswise.
100 g bacon
Slice the onion into half rings and fry it in vegetable oil until translucent.
1 pc onion, 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Slightly heat the cream, then combine it with finely grated cheese, mustard, and lemon juice. Add salt and mix the sauce.
150 ml cream, 100 g cheese, 1 tbsp mustard, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 pinch salt
Assemble the casserole. In a heat-resistant baking dish, layer the potato slices, alternating them with apple wedges and bacon.
Cover the assembled casserole with a layer of fried onions.
Pour the creamy-mustard sauce over the onions and place the casserole in the oven. Bake the dish at a temperature of 200 °C for 30-40 minutes.
Sprinkle the finished casserole with fresh herbs and serve it while it's still warm. Enjoy your meal!
