Prepare the necessary ingredients.
Prepare the teriyaki sauce. Mix dry ingredients in a saucepan: sugar, garlic, and ginger. Then add apple vinegar and vegetable oil to them.
3 tbsp sugar, 1 tsp garlic, ½ tsp ginger, ½ tbsp vinegar, 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Add the liquid base - soy sauce to the main ingredients. Mix everything and boil over medium heat for 3-5 minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved.
½ tbsp soy sauce
Pour cornstarch into water and mix until smooth.
2 tsp cornstarch, 3 tbsp water
Thicken the sauce with the water-cornstarch mixture, pouring it into the hot liquid while stirring constantly. Continue heating the sauce for a few more minutes, stirring continuously. Do this until the teriyaki thickens, then let the sauce cool.
Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken drumsticks, using 2/3 of the total volume. Leave the meat to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
6-8 pcs chicken drumstick
Place the marinated chicken drumsticks in an oiled heatproof dish and bake for 45 minutes in an oven preheated to 180-200 °C.
Every 10-15 minutes, take the meat out of the oven and brush with the remaining teriyaki sauce.
Five minutes before the end of cooking, take out the dish with the chicken drumsticks and sprinkle the meat with sesame seeds.
1 tbsp sesame
Place the finished dish on a plate and sprinkle with finely chopped green onions.
