  • 6-8 pcs chicken drumstick
  • ½ tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic dried
  • ½ tsp ginger dried
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • ½ tbsp vinegar apple or rice
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds


  • Prepare the necessary ingredients.

  • Prepare the teriyaki sauce. Mix dry ingredients in a saucepan: sugar, garlic, and ginger. Then add apple vinegar and vegetable oil to them.
    3 tbsp sugar, 1 tsp garlic, ½ tsp ginger, ½ tbsp vinegar, 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • Add the liquid base – soy sauce to the main ingredients. Mix everything and boil over medium heat for 3-5 minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved.

  • Pour cornstarch into water and mix until smooth.

  • Thicken the sauce with the water-cornstarch mixture, pouring it into the hot liquid while stirring constantly. Continue heating the sauce for a few more minutes, stirring continuously. Do this until the teriyaki thickens, then let the sauce cool.

  • Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken drumsticks, using 2/3 of the total volume. Leave the meat to marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  • Place the marinated chicken drumsticks in an oiled heatproof dish and bake for 45 minutes in an oven preheated to 180-200 °C.
