Don't know what to take with you on a picnic? Try making a cottage cheese galette. Onion, egg and cheese galette is hearty and very beautiful. Everything is perfect in this open pie — both the dough and the filling.
Add the egg, salt, and cottage cheese, strained through a fine sieve.
1 pc egg, 4 g salt, 100 g cottage cheese
Gather the dough into a ball. If necessary, add another 10—20 g of flour so that it does not stick to your hands. Put the dough in a bag or cling film. Leave in the refrigerator for 30—35 minutes.
Filling preparation
Prepare the filling. Thoroughly wash a bunch of green onions, dry and finely chop with a knife.
120 g green onion
Boil the eggs hard. Cut into medium cubes.
2 pcs egg
Place the processed cheese in the freezer for 10—12 minutes. Then grate it on a fine grater. Add to the eggs and green onions.
90 g cheese
Season the filling with salt and pepper to taste. Mix thoroughly.
1 pinch salt, 1 pinch pepper
Assembling the galette
Roll out the chilled dough into a 27 cm diameter circle. Place the filling in the center. Gather the edges of the dough, forming rims.
Place a piece of butter in the center of the galette. Grease the rims with egg white. You can also sprinkle with sesame seeds.
25 g butter, 1 pc egg
Send the galette to a preheated 180°C oven for about 25 minutes. Enjoy your meal!
