  • Add yeast to cold milk, crushing it with your hands.

  • The dough turned out quite dense. Leave it for 10-15 minutes, covering it with a towel.

  • Divide the dough into 10 equal pieces and roll them into balls.

  • Then, flatten each ball with your hands into a tight disk and roll it into a roll.

  • From the roll, use both hands to roll out a rope with a thick middle and thin ends. Twist the ends of the rope twice.

  • Shape the pretzels by pressing the ends of the rope against the thicker part. Leave the finished pretzels for half an hour to rise. They don’t need to be covered. Then put the pretzels in the freezer for 20-25 minutes.

  • Make a shallow longitudinal cut on the thicker part and sprinkle the pretzels with coarse salt. Salt is most commonly used as a topping, but sometimes pretzels are sprinkled with sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, or nuts.
