Choco banana strudel with puff pastry
Strudel is a popular German dessert. Today we will deviate from the traditional classic version with apple. We will make a choco banana strudel with puff pastry. Incredibly aromatic and very tasty.
Equipment
- 1 rolling pin
- 1 baking sheet
- 1 non-stick mat
- 1 knife
- 1 cooking brush
- 1 teaspoon
- 1 chopping board
Ingredients
- 200 g puff pastry
- 170 g banana
- 30 g walnuts
- 1 pc egg yolk
- 1 tsp powdered sugar
Instructions
- Prepare everything you need. It is convenient to form the strudel directly on the baking sheet so that you don’t have to transfer the dough later.
- Roll out the puff pastry to a thickness of 3 mm. Make the edges thinner. Optionally, cut the entire banana into cubes or leave it whole. We first put part of the banana whole (to make the strudel even, divide it into large pieces), and then cut the rest. This way, the dessert will have a varied texture. Sprinkle with crushed walnuts.170 g banana, 30 g walnuts, 200 g puff pastry
- Wrap the dough around the bananas, with the edges on top.
- Continue rolling until all the dough is used. Pinch the seam. Brush the surface of the roll with egg yolk, decorate with banana slices. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or sugar.1 pc egg, 1 tsp powdered sugar
- Transfer to a preheated oven and bake at 180 โ for 20-25 minutes.
- The strudel with banana made from puff pastry is ready. You can serve it with ice cream while it’s hot, and after it cools down, it will be perfect with custard cream as a sauce, but it’s also delicious on its own.
