Ingredients
  

  • 160 ml milk
  • 300 g flour
  • 1.5 tbsp sugar
  • 15 g yeast fresh
  • 400 g ground beef
  • 2 pcs yellow onion
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • ½ tsp salt

  • Prepare everything you need.

  • For the yeast dough, place the yeast and sugar in a cup or small bowl. Pour in room temperature milk. Stir until all components are dissolved.

  • Pour flour and salt into a bowl, make a well in the center. Pour in the milk with yeast. And vegetable oil (2 tablespoons).

  • Mix with a fork, then continue with your hands. The dough should be elastic and not sticky. Leave to rise for 30-40 minutes.

  • For the filling, dice the onions, place on a heated pan with oil and fry until soft. Then add ground beef, pepper.

  • Fry, breaking up the meat lumps, until the mince lightens. Do not cook completely, as the dish will still be baked in the oven.

  • Divide the dough into 4 parts. Roll each out into a round flatbread with a diameter of 26-30 cm. Place one on a baking sheet, distribute half of the mince.

  • Cover with the second half of the dough.

  • Pinch and turn the edges upwards. Make cuts for the steam to escape. If desired, you can apply a beautiful pattern. Brush with milk or egg, sprinkle with sesame seeds.

  • Bake in the oven at 160℃ for 25-30 minutes. The Ossetian pie with beef is ready. It can be served immediately or after cooling.
