Shuba salad
We suggest preparing the well-known Shuba salad or Herring under a fur coat salad with apple for the festive table. Adding an unusual ingredient – apple, will perfectly complement the taste of this salad.

- 1 knife
- 1 chopping board
- 1 pot
- 1 plate
Ingredients
- 2-3 pcs beetroot
- 150 g mayonnaise
- 1-2 pcs apple green
- 1 pc carrot
- 150 g herring fillet
- 1 pc yellow onion
- 2-3 pcs potato
Instructions
- Prepare the specified ingredients. Thoroughly wash and pre-cook the potatoes, beets, and carrots until tender. There is no need to peel the vegetables before cooking. Let them cool, peel and grate them coarsely. You can take whole herring and cut it yourself, but we will use ready-made fillets to save time.
- The first layer on the plate is grated potatoes. Spread mayonnaise on it. Repeat the same with each subsequent layer.2-3 pcs potato, 150 g mayonnaise
- Place the chopped herring next. Finely chop the onion and sprinkle it on top. To remove the bitterness of the onion, you can marinate it or pour boiling water over it for a few minutes.150 g herring, 1 pc yellow onion
- Add grated carrot.1 pc carrot
- Grate a peeled apple coarsely and distribute it on top of the carrot.1-2 pcs apple
- The final layer is grated beets. Again, add sauce and refrigerate the dish to cool.2-3 pcs beetroot
- The Herring under a fur coat salad is ready. Before serving, you can sprinkle finely chopped fresh dill on top. Enjoy your meal!
