The classic way of cooking involves boiling the egg without the shell in a funnel of boiling water. However, many people do not succeed on the first try. Therefore, we will show a second method that is guaranteed to work for everyone. We cook a poached egg in cling film.
Equipment
- 1 mix bowl
- 1 plastic wrap
- 1 pot
Ingredients
- 1 pc egg
- ยฝ tsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Prepare the necessary ingredients. Pour water into a deep pot and set it on the stove.
- Line a small bowl with cling film. Grease the central part with a small amount of vegetable oil.
- Thoroughly wash the egg. Crack it into a separate plate and then carefully pour it into the center of the film. This is done to ensure that the yolk is not broken during cracking, and to prevent any shell from getting in. At this stage, if desired, you can salt, pepper, or add any other spice on top.
- Connect the ends of the cling film and twist. Holding the resulting tail, lower the egg into boiling water so that it is completely submerged.
- As it cooks, the white will begin to whiten. The cooking time is approximately 3 minutes. During this time, the white will be fully cooked and will look white and firm. The yolk will remain liquid, only slightly thickened.
- Remove the egg from the pot. Unwrap the film and carefully, so as not to damage, lay the egg on bread, a vegetable salad, or just on a plate. Make a small incision with a knife or fork, and the tender yolk will gradually flow out. The poached egg is ready.
