Mashed potato fries
Today we are making delicious and crispy mashed potato fries with cheese in a pan. This snack is perfect for a large company. Be sure to try it!
Equipment
- 1 mix bowl
- 1 grater
- 1 cellophane bag
- 1 knife or pizza cutter
- 1 frying pan
- 1 rolling pin
- 1 plate
- paper towel
Ingredients
- 2 pcs potato
- 80 g cheese maasdam
- 2 tbsp cornstarch or corn
- vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare everything you need. Boil the potatoes and let them cool completely. It is better to use hard cheese, such as maasdam or parmesan.
- Grate the potatoes and cheese on a fine grater, put them in a bowl. Add the cornstarch there. You can use either potato or corn starch.2 pcs potato, 2 tbsp cornstarch, 80 g cheese
- Mix with your hands. The mixture should stick together and form a single lump.
- Transfer everything to a sturdy plastic bag and roll it out with a rolling pin into an even layer about 2-3 mm thick.
- Carefully cut the bag, and divide the dough into strips with a pizza cutter or knife.
- To prevent the potato mixture from sticking, sprinkle the blade with cornstarch.2 tbsp cornstarch
- In a pan, heat vegetable oil, carefully place the blanks. Fry until lightly browned.vegetable oil
- Place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
- Potato sticks with cheese are ready. Serve with a sauce on the side.
