Semolina cake recipe
Semolina cake can be baked using any fermented milk product, but it can be especially tasty in sour cream. This dessert will be enjoyed by both adults and children. It’s prepared very simply and does not require any kitchen appliances. All ingredients are mixed with a whisk.

- 1 baking mold or pastry ring
- 1 baking paper or foil
- 1 toothpick
Ingredients
- 200 g semolina
- 100 g flour
- 2 pc egg
- 300 g sour cream 10%
- 130 g sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder with a slide or 1 tsp slaked soda
Instructions
- Prepare the necessary ingredients. If there is no baking powder, it can be replaced with 1 teaspoon of slaked soda.
- In a deep bowl, pour semolina, sugar and flour mixed with baking powder.200 g semolina, 100 g flour, 130 g sugar, 1 tsp baking powder
- Mix the dry ingredients. Pour in the sour cream. It is advisable to take sour cream not too thick.300 g sour cream
- Stir up. Wash and drive in the eggs.2 pc egg
- Mix until a homogeneous consistency without lumps and leave for 20 minutes so that the semolina swells.
- Cover the baking dish with baking parchment. If you cook in a pastry ring, make the bottom with foil. Put the dough in a ring or a mold and place it in a preheated oven. The cooking time at 180° is approximately 40 minutes. The final cooking time depends on the diameter of the mold. The readiness of the pie is checked with a match or a toothpick. Do not open the oven during cooking.
- Take it out of the oven. Waite for the dessert to cool down a little and take it out of the mold. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top for beauty and serve to the table. Semolina cake on sour cream is ready. A glass of milk or hot tea is perfect choice for serving semolina cake.
