Semolina porridge with carrot
Today we are cooking not quite the usual semolina porridge with carrot. Enhanced with carrots, it not only acquires a bright color but also a pleasant taste. The porridge can be confidently given to babies under one year old, although adults will not refuse such a treat. The main thing is to choose a high-quality, bright, juicy, and sweet carrot, and this is the key to delicious and healthy semolina porridge. For children, it is recommended to use baby milk, and for very young children, it is better to dilute it halfway with water.

Ingredients
- 4 tbsp semolina
- 500 ml milk
- 1 pc carrot
- 1 tsp sugar
- 40 g butter
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- Prepare everything necessary.
- Pour half of the milk over the semolina and leave it to swell while you deal with the carrot.4 tbsp semolina, 500 ml milk
- Grate the carrot on a fine grater or chop in a food processor. Put it in a pot together with the butter.1 pc carrot, 40 g butter
- Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes. Do not fry, but stew. If necessary, add a couple of tablespoons of water. Add sugar and salt to taste, if desired, you can add a little ground cinnamon.1 tsp sugar, 1 pinch salt
- Put the swollen semolina.
- Pour in the remaining milk.
- Keep on the stove on the lowest heat until thickened, constantly stirring to prevent lumps from forming at the bottom and sides of the pot. If you like a thinner semolina porridge, pour the required amount of milk at any stage. The porridge may not boil, it is enough that it becomes homogeneous and the grains of semolina are not felt.
- Semolina porridge with carrot for children under one year is ready. It can be served with berries.
