  • 50 g butter
  • 20 g cornstarch
  • 1 pc egg
  • 40 g sugar
  • 50 g honey
  • tsp ginger root
  • tsp baking powder
  • tsp cinnamon

  • Prepare the necessary ingredients. Use dried ground ginger, raw ginger will not work. If you don"t have cornstarch, you can replace it with the same amount of flour.

  • In a deep bowl, combine all the dry ingredients: flour, cornstarch, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, and ginger.

  • Mix with a fork. In the bowl of a food processor, add the butter and process until smooth. Add the butter to the dry ingredients. Wash and beat the egg. Pour in the honey. If the honey is too thick or sugary, it needs to be slightly heated in a water bath or microwaved for a few seconds.

  • Knead the dough. It is preferable to do this with a mixer using a paddle or spiral attachment. But you can also knead it by hand.
